Spatial and temporal zoning of watershed resilience using a multidimensional composition approach

The present initiative study has been planned to develop a conceptual model for watershed resilience which rare documents have reported yet, particularly in developing countries where such studies are necessary. In this vein, different ecological, social, economic, and infrastructural cultural key domains were applied the modeling processes of Shazand Watershed Iran. To end, was firstly conceptualized according prevailing conditions three periods 1986–1998, 1999–2008, 2009–2016. Accordingly, health index used ecological dimension, 13, 8, 13 criteria consequently considered dimensions, respectively. whole data required last dimensions collected through distribution questionnaires among stockholders Watershed. principal component analysis (PCA) method weighting prioritize dimensions. overall ultimately calculated by aggregating all four using geometric mean. effect each dimension on also assessed applying multivariable regression. According map period 2009–2016, 40%, 9%, 34%, 17% classified as very low resilience, moderate, high, high resilience. This showed that improved over time. necessity practical integrated management watersheds confirmed during research.
